The launch of first branch of Saudi-German Hospital in Cairo, December 2015
The Saudi German hospital group are to launch their first branch in Cairo in November 2015 with investments of more than 1bn EGP. SGH group takes an impressive step towards health care in Egypt by earning the experience of the past 27 years of SGH that has provided the highest quality of medical services to meet high standards of health care in Middle East and North Africa. SGH Group has won many awards for its distinguished services. SGH is one of the hospitals that are accredited by the Joint Commission International.
The chairman of SGH in Cairo, Dr. Mohamed Hablas said that SGH’s mission is to offer a new medical idea to Egypt’s market by applying global standards, while keeping the Cairo branch the same as all other branches.
Hablas points out the capacity of 300 beds in the first stage for a large number of patient in a week, adding that the hospital will depend on doctors specialized in many fields during the day to provide health care to the patients. The hospital will also provide a new concept of ER situations.
SGH is one of the most important projects established by the Batterjee consultant group that is owned by Eng. Sobhy Batterjee. The Batterjee family established the Saudi German group in 1988. The family therefore decided to establish their first hospital in Jeddah through its strategic relationship with well-known German universities. The public hospital was an initial move of the group to begin its journey in the Arabic region.
The new branch in Cairo is the 8th branch for SGH in many countries including Saudi Arabia, United Arab of Emirates and Yemen. The Cairo branch is the latest but not last branch of SGH group in Egypt.
