The Saudi-German Hospital in Cairo hosted the annual conference of “Alashanak Ya Balady-Ain Shams University” Association in the hospital’s conference hall, attended by more than 300 people which aimed at spreading the volunteering idea awareness – 16 Aug
A number of well-known figures participated in the conference which included:
Andrew Ashraf, who discussed the “Volunteering within social networking sites”
Marina Joseph, who spoke about “Fighting poverty through volunteerism”
Mohammed Alaeddin, who talked about “The virtue of charitable work in religion”
Finally, Dr. Abeer Fathi from the Faculty of Fine Arts has closed the session by presenting a workshop that tackled the “Origami” (The art of paper folding).
It is worth mentioning that “Alashanak Ya Balady – Ain Shams University” is a student activity and a sustainable development organization that works on the development of Ezbet Abu Qarn in Misr El-Qadima economically and socially.
