International Nurses Day Media Release

SGH is to celebrate international Nurses day (IND) by highlighting the importance of this day to Egypt’s medical sector by attending global medical events. International Nurses day is an international day celebrated around the world on the first of May, to point out the contribution of nurses in society.

Dr. Mohamed Hablas, the chairman of SGH in Cairo will congratulate everyone involved in the nursing profession and encourage them for their efforts concerning the important role in nursing for patients to heal and gain their health back.

Dr. Kawthar Mahmoud the head of the nursing syndicate and the official spokesman of nursing in Egypt, is also to express grateful thanks to the SGH group and its nursing team, ensuring that nursing is the cornerstone of the health care system. Nursing is the process which doctors rely on to complete treatment plan for patients.

Dr. Kawthar praised the nursing system at the SGH group according to it’s proficiency and high quality standards. She also stated: “I am grateful to be here today and to be part of this important day at the hospital. SGH-Egypt is a tough competitor with global health care organizations”.

“Nursing is an important profession in the healthcare system, where nurses offer their valuable service to patients. Nursing plays an important medical and moral role for the patient to fight off the diseases.”

As for the Pediatric and Neonatology department at the SGH group, nurses became the caring mothers that assert the important role of nursing. The development of the nursing system in Egypt focuses on the continuing education and improvement of different skills of nursing along with legislations and regulations of the nursing profession.
