Setting the Foundation Stone of Batterjee Medical City at Alex West (Alexandria Governorate) – 22 July 2017

Eng. Sobhi Batterjee – CEO of Saudi German Hospital Group has set the foundation stone of Batterjee Medical City in Alex West – Burg Al-Arab at Alexandria Governorate.

The event was held in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Khodeir – Chief Executive of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), Dr. Khaled Al-Batterjee – Deputy Chief Executive of SGH group, Dr. Mohamed Hablas – Executive Director of SGH Cairo, Mr. Alaa Salem – Chairman of Barons Court and Ledgers (owning company of Alex West), and Mr. Gamal Morsi – Managing Director of Barons Court and Ledgers (owning company of Alex West).

Sobhi Batterji, founder and CEO of Saudi German Hospital Group, has expressed his delight of setting the foundation stone of Batterjee Medical City, which is considered as the largest integrated medical city in Egypt. Batterji added “We trust the Egyptian medical sector and we always keen on providing special medical services. We believe that we have a responsibility towards social care programs.”

Mohamed Hany Khodeir – Chief Executive of General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) has emphasized that establishing such a medical city in Egypt by Saudi investors with a capital of EGP 8 billion highlights Egypt’s position on the global economic map. Egypt possesses various potentials to attract investors, and these kinds of projects reflect the success of the government’s plan to boost its economy, regain the confidence of investors and foreign corporates in Egypt’s market, he added.
