Saudi German Hospital Cairo receives “JCI” accreditation

Cairo 20th February, 2018: The Saudi German Hospital Cairo received the prestigious Joint Commissions International (JCI) accreditation which is considered the gold standard in health care worldwide.

The accreditation motivates health-care institutions to be among the best in the world which in turn proves beneficial for the patients, while international accreditations are now being very important in the health-care sector in Egypt.

During the review, a team of JCI expert surveyors evaluated the patient satisfaction in addition to performance improvement and efficiency of the hospital. The Saudi German Hospital received its first accreditation by JCI after only 2 years of the operating date of the hospital in Egypt, which is considered a strong start in providing a unique and pioneering model in the field of health care by meeting international health care standards.

The accreditation criteria are mainly focusing on inputs, management and operations that ensure the highest standards of quality and safety for patients, and ensure continuous development.

Dr. Mohamed Hablas, CEO – Saudi German Hospital Cairo, said: “The health-care sector in Egypt is expanding and there is an increase in demand for quality and efficiency. We are glad we have maintained our standards throughout the past 2 years and we aim to expand and improve our services every year. The hospital has a fully functional department dedicated to international patients and we are recognized as one of the leading health tourism centers in Egypt.”

He added “Such international certifications are good for the industry as it supports the patients and builds trust in the organization, and it is also considered as a step towards the objectives of the Egyptian Ministry of Health.”

It is worth mentioning that the Joint Commissions International (a non-profit international organization headquartered in the United States of America) has updated the international standards as of January 1, 2018, and the Saudi German Hospital in Cairo is one of the first to receive this accreditation according to the latest version.
